Want to order plants with your Garden map, but you don’t know what to expect in terms of plant size?
Here’s a quick overview of all of our plant containers.
Most often, quart-size pots contain young shrubs and flowering plants. These well-rooted plants are a great value but are still young and require some extra care in planting and protection from the extreme cold or heat until they are well established. Ensure a vigorous start with these healthy, well-established plants that will perform well in the landscape.
These are still young plants but they are nice, full healthy well-rooted plants. They still require some care in planting and for winter and summer exposure to ensures they will perform for years to come. This is a great starter size.
Typically, plants in these containers are 2 – 3 years old, with slower growers being up to 4 years old. These plants are so popular because they are the performers.
Plants in these containers can be the same age as the #2 container plant but are slightly larger, more robust plants. The #3 container offers more space for root development – additional space allows the roots to spread out more freely, resulting in stronger, sturdier plants that have increased resilience to environmental stressors.
Instant landscape size. Heavy-rooted plants in #5 containers produce an immediate effect on the landscape. They’ll give you a wonderful, bold impression of whatever that plant’s character should be.
